Their caregivers are capable, loving and attentive. And whenever I am left at the last minute with no one to take care of my Mother, who needs round the clock care, Loving Arms steps in every time. To whom it may concern:

Tamara (Opal) Wellington was employed as a caregiver for our father and mother for about 16 years.
She provided care for our parents, especially our mother (last 15 years), when they were in their own home and later when in assisted living communities.
Her basic duties included dressing, bathing, helping with general hygiene, light housekeeping and providing transportation to medical appointments.
As our mother’s and father’s health declined, Opal helped both our parents navigate their daily activities.

Opal went way beyond the expectations of the job.
She accompanied our mother to Pennsylvania to a family party. During the height of the Covid pandemic, she stayed with our mother and joined the staff of the assisted living facility to make sure our mother was taken care of during the times the facility was “locked down “.

Opal was always ready to go the extra mile by going to the pharmacy, grocery stores or staying overnight to keep our mother comfortable and well.
She helped our mother overcome various health challenges. When our mother became very sick, it was difficult to pry Opal from her side.
Our mother’s geriatric doctor told us admiringly that her office learned from Opal various practical techniques to deal with certain challenges relating to our mother’s maladies (including physical challenges and declining cognition).

Opal dealt with our mother’s bad moods and behavioral issues without complaint and maintained a positive attitude towards our mother.
Our mother looked forward to her being there and was lost without her.

While working for our mother, Opal pursued her medical education. This included a certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant and undergraduate courses for Nursing.
Opal’s pursuit of a degree in Nursing helped to contribute to our mother’s overall well-being.

We definitely would recommend her as a dedicated, caring, engaging, pleasant and knowledgeable caregiver.

  1. Team Tamara with Loving Arms have gone over and beyond for my dad for a year now. And I only take time to write reviews when it’s necessary. He’s 80 but we decided to let him live semi independent and with he twice daily care of Team Tamara it saves me in frequent trips and emotional stress because the team truly cares and even inform me of his good and bad days if any. I’m unable to truly express how instrumental this team has allowed me to still have a semi normal life with my own family at the same time have peace of mind that my heart(father) is living his best life! Thank you ladies, the bond we’ve built is irreplaceable and I truly appreciate your care.
